It has been a long time since I have updated our family web page. Now, I have not only updated it, but I have moved it to a new location. I believe that this location will serve a little better. I was having problems at AOL whenever I wanted to upload. Sometimes pictures would show up and sometimes they wouldn't. It was all hit and miss.
Finally, I have gotten my pictures developed. Cheryl and I had taken over five rolls of film (three we've just developed and two others were just taken in last week.) We found pictures that hadn't been developed since Christmas of 1998! Needless to say, we were a little behind!
I hope you didn't mind that you had to jump through a couple of loops to get here... I know that the links page is a little overloaded. I am adding links to worthwhile places are almost every page. It keeps this site free, which happens to be my favorite word. Also, I'm hoping to earn a couple of extra dollars, so maybe I could set up a page with my own domain name.
Anyway, I'm sure ya 'all didn't come to my page to hear about computers, you want to see family pictures and I have a couple...
This
is Mr. Mann's way of helping Cheryl and I move. He and Babie Kitty loved
playing on all of the boxes we had piled in our apartment. I'm glad
somebody liked the mess!
This is Babie Kitty's way of giving us a hand. Every time I would put a new box together, she would hop in. Finally, I gave up, I put two boxes together, one for her and one for me!
This is Fuzzy, Mom's cat. He likes to sit up on Dad's computer desk and play solitaire. I told Dad that if the cat starts telling him how to play, he should take Fuzzy on tour.
This is Mr. Mann and
Babie napping on the love seat. They were exhausted
after we moved into our new house last winter. In case you missed any of
my updates, I'll fill you in a little. We couldn't get the couch into the
living room of the house. The poor movers tried for more than an
hour. The closest they came was into the kitchen. (I wish I hadn't
packed the camera away, so I could've gotten a picture of that!) I told
Cheryl that I thought we should just leave the couch in the kitchen, most people
visit and stay in the kitchen
anyway. But, Cheryl said we weren't white trash and that the couch had to
go. It sat in our garage for two months until we found a friend who needed
one. (By the way, I still like the kitchen idea.)
This is a picture of Cheryl and her son, Brian. It was taken when Brian was home on leave this past spring. He came home for a month this past summer (and I'm still developing the pictures). He's stationed in Japan right now and we're hoping he can come home for Christmas.
This
is a picture of Babie Kitty. She's sitting in the kitchen with her friend
the Polar Bear. There's no reason to put it up here, except I think it's
cute!
This is a picture of Mr. Mann playing jungle kitty. We have a lot of ferns growing in a patch around our house and he likes to sit in there. I don't know what he does, but he never seems to want to come inside!
When both of Cheryl's
children were suppose to come and stay with
us at the same time last summer, we went out and bought a bunk bed/futon
combination. Only the futon part has ever been used. The kids didn't
stay with us at the same time, as they had planned. I'm not complaining, however;
I've always thought these were cool! Plus, now we do have more sleeping
space for when we have visitors!
Last summer, while driving to Aunt Sherrill and Uncle Leslie's for the family reunion, we spotted a hawk sitting in a tree. I stopped and took a picture. I wish I had had a zoom lens, I might have gotten a better shot!
These are pictures of the infamous
double rainbow.
Linda's pictures came
out much better than mine. (Click
here to see here pictures on the old page.)
This is my picture of the seven. Again, Linda did a much better job than I did. (Check here)
I didn't do so bad with a picture of Zeke, however!
This is Uncle Marvin sitting in the pig (or is it a cow hauler?) so that he can go for a tractor ride.
This is a picture of how they got him in that chair on the pig (cow?) hauler.
That didn't hurt me a bit!
Cheryl had never been to Springfield before, so on our way home from the reunion, we stopped and took a couple of tours. While we were there, we ran into an old friend of Dad's. Mr. Lincoln informed me that he always split more rails than Dad did!
Well, that's all the pictures I have for this time. Next time, I hope to be able to post a couple of our house and, maybe, a couple of Cheryl's kids. (I'm sure ya 'all want to see something besides my cats!!!) I don't know when I'll get to the store to pick up the last two rolls. Of course, I always welcome pictures from everyone, so send them on in!
Love to all,
Julie
